Born August 8, 1920 in the city of Tallinn. Member of the Union of artists of the RSFSR in 1941. In 1930-1937 he studied at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture the Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad. Teacher - S. L. Abugov, P. V. Sennikov. In 1937-1941, he was Director of the State Museum of Palekh art.
