He was born on 12 (24) January, 1897, in the village of Sergino Vladimir province. Hereditary icon painter. In 1910-1916, he studied at the educational workshops of the Committee of guardianship of Russian icon-painting from the master I. M. Bakanova. In 1930 he joined the Artel of ancient painting. Died 30 Dec 1940, buried in Palekh.
Themes of works: literature, history, genre scenes, revolutionary. Participated in exhibitions since 1937.
