Honored art worker of the RSFSR (1950). He graduated from the Moscow Stroganov art school (1912). Worked on the first Russian film Studio (pathé brothers company) in A. Khanzhonkov. Production designer and costume designer and props of the first Russian films ("Life of Ivan the terrible", "a life for a Life", "the fireplace", etc.). 1926 — worked at the Moscow film Studio "Sovkino", and later — at the Studio "Mosfilm". The Laureate Of The State. prize of the USSR (1950 — for participation in the film "Meeting on the Elbe").

Honored. worker of arts of RSFSR (1950). He graduated from the Stroganov Uch-school (1912). Worked on K.-A. Khanzhonkov factory in Moscow, participated in the creation of the first Russian K.-f. From 1926 to Moscow. K.-St. "Soyuzkino", and later on K.-art "Mosfilm". Expert ist. styles, architecture, decor, decomp. details. Participated in the formulation of K.-f. "Aerograd" (1935, with V. Panteleev), "Last night" (1937), "Minin and Pozharsky" (1939), "the humpbacked Horse" (1941), "Kotovskij" (1943), "Meeting on the Elbe" (1949), "Crazy day" (1956), etc. Winner of St. St. (1950).
