Descrizione del quadro «Backwoods»

The Picture Shishkin "Backwoods" was first presented to the public for the second travelling exhibition. For it the artist received the title of Professor. This painting gives an idea of the approach of Ivan Shishkin's writing landscapes: maximum reliability, objectivity, and naturalness.

The scenery blows cool, especially good to stare at "backwoods" on a hot summer day. The feeling of fresh, thick air, which is not particularly heated, even at midday through the canopy the sun's rays are received sparingly. Talking about it and stunted trees trying to grow up away among the giant trunks. The puddle in the foreground allows you to fully experience the surrounding humidity is high, inhale the forest like a condensed flavor.

Did not notice a little Fox lurking in the foreground near fallen trunk. If you follow look in turn the head of the beast, we see a duck flying away – it scared off a Fox. Followed by duck view slides in a sun gleam in the depths of the canvas. The contrast of the shaded foreground and illuminated Dali allows to construct the space of the picture to involve the viewer in a journey through this forest, to make it three-dimensional and alive.
