Israel Broitman about his works: "My works explore time not as a physical element, but as an aesthetic parameter. They depict the sublime movement of human nature.
Physical objects are complexes of sensations. The individual subject in painting is the essence. The concrete subject is the ultimate reality where objects are in quantitative relationship with their background. Where they exist.
Old objects are living memories, meaningful definitions of time and reality, and existence can be consciously understood through the vanished past. Immanuel Kant's notion of the "thing-in-itself" is the psychophysical or metaphysical reality of an object.
Our inner world is the metaphysical reality. What kinds of symbols are used to represent metaphysical reality? What kind of code is there in my paintings? Mainly of two kinds - the so-called exteriors and interiors.
Exteriors are nights, still lifes, faces - interiors for the outside world, the world beyond us. Interiors are stairs, doors, windows, balconies, chairs.
Musicians tune their instruments before a concert. Painting can tune the human soul, it can be a kind of psychotherapy. It is important that the viewer is purified and renewed in front of the painting, reborn".
