Description of the artwork «(In)the place of a thousand suns»

"To Myself. Carefully" is a series of works about the confrontation between man and society. We live in a social environment. We are part of a complex world and feel its pressure. This pressure is necessary for us as a force of gravity.

But a person often increases it by following other people's "shoulds. One should be successful. Gotta be slim. Gotta be young. These "musts" are like stones in the river of life. If one is strong, the waters of the river of life will find a way, or they will destroy the obstacle. But there are times when each of us can be weak, vulnerable, defenseless.

And then fallen rocks can permanently block the path of our development or divert us from our original route.

The human soul seeks self-expression, but does not find the strength to overcome the obstacle.

In a series of paintings I talk about calculating one's strength, listening to one's inner voice, and appreciating simple joys. My goal is to motivate people to get out of the daily race.

Stop. Listen.

In today's world, there is less live communication. We don't communicate with words, but with likes. We see each other and hug once a year. Life in the light of gadget screens exhausts us, depresses us.

When we move away from people, we move away from ourselves. It is only by talking to another person that we can learn something new about ourselves.
