Mezzetin from the painting by Antoine Watteau is one of the characters of Italian Commedia Dell'arte. It is not as widely known as
Piero, another frequent guest in the work of Watteau. Psychologically Mezzetin – his complete opposite. Pierrot sad, Mezzetin right. However, in Watteau have Mezzetta have something in common with the eternally reject Piero. Experts believe that Mezzetin with a guitar sings a song about his bitter unrequited love.
