"Dove Dina" - so called artist Bogomazov his main Muse and faithful companion – his wife Wanda Monastery. Acquainted during his studies in 1908, they were friends for five years and throughout that time waged a touching conversation in which he shared impressions about art, art theory, the role and purpose of the artist. A year after the wedding people will write a treatise "Painting and elements" (1914), providing it with dedication
"my sympathetic companion in life V. Bogomazova Monastery".
The English say:
"Behind every great man stands a great woman". The support and unconditional faith in Wanda's talent of her husband to be envied. She wrote to him:
"I want to say that you're not an ordinary mortal in the art that the works of thy majestic and deeply beautiful that they passionate force lines, the movement of all the molecules in the world, that they mysterious, as is the mysterious force of all things in the world visible, and Tom, who see the mind and soul".
With such a reliable rear Bogomazov had all the prerequisites and conditions for the study of the facets of his artistic gift. And the evolution of searches it is easy to track on portraits Wanda. The time of their acquaintance took place during the artist's fascination with impressionism. Then he wrote
exciting and delicate portrait of his beloved resembling the impression of evening twilight in the cosy lounge.
As soon as a creative idea gone Bogomazov into the depths of the avant-garde, the facial features of his beloved out from under his brush more angular and geometric, aiming to gradually take the form of triangles (

The General background is not very cleanAnd a lot of diamondsHere's the circular cubist –Mr. Bogomazov. Here, where you don't see,Smell of fear the ties thatSee the legs aloneAnd the hypotenuse. Here is a portrait of his wife,The poet cried: "What kind of fashion! After all, this wife portrait The reason for the divorce."Fortunately, Wanda thought much more progressive, and the paintings of her husband was her main value, which she was ready to maintain at any cost. When during the war the Germans came to Kiev, she was ordered to leave their house, as it presumably fell into the area of future hostilities. Then the woman collected all the paintings and drawings that were left, and the truck was taken to relatives in Svyatoshino over a dozen kilometers from their apartment.
All life is Wanda Monastery guarded the legacy of her husband, who retired very early, at the age of only 50 years. She found solace in his paintings."
With all my heart I felt the strength of your lines, the credibility and the certainty of forms, a kind of life, a confident life full of colorful eloquence. They never tired (deep glance) of the eye, because you know how to find the immortal point of the movement, but because you give them eternal life".
Eternal life gave Bogomazov, and his wife. In 2015, this portrait of his authorship was sold at auction auction house Christie's for 275 $ 575. I wonder how a quatrain would have celebrated this event the poet Poisons, having lived it up to this point?
