Boris
Vasilyevich Sukhodolsky

Lived in the middle of the 18th century. About the artist Boris sukhodil's'ke is known only that in the fifties of the XVIII century he performed for the Ekateringofsky Palace in Tsarskoye Selo several sopraportas - over door with decorative panels. These "gallant scenes" in the background of the penned landscape is considered to be allegories of science, music, etc. But this is not true. Of course, Sukhodolsky cannot yet be called a landscape artist and genre painter, and yet his paintings - not only the fruit of imagination: these scenes create the atmosphere of "garden of life" in Russia of the XVIII century. "Walk" sukhodolskiy may be an excellent illustration to the story about the Russian gardens Petrine and post-Petrine time.
