Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Painter, people's artist of the Chuvash Republic, the honored worker of arts of Chuvash Republic and the Russian Federation.

Born on 9 Feb 1891 in d. Antiholo–Norasi (Eнĕш Нăрваш) Yantikovskiy district of the Chuvash Republic.

One of the founders of professional fine art in the Chuvash Republic, refers to the first generation of Chuvash artists. Worked as a Secretary of the newspaper "Star of Altai", the head of teaching Department, head of the Omsk art–industrial College, the Chairman of the Board of the West Siberian branch of the Association of artists of revolutionary Russia, a member of the journal "Trap", a teacher and the Director of the Cheboksary art school.

Over the years long career he created dozens of works that reflected the important events of the historical past and contemporary reality of our country. He's the one who turned in his work to the history of the Chuvash people, their ethnic traditions.

Major works: "the Forced baptism of the Chuvash" "Chuvash Declaration of autonomy", "the First tractor in the Chuvash Republic", "Crossing Pugacheva across the Volga, the Adoration of kiremet", "Pushkin in the Chuvash village", etc.

Included in the Honorary Book of Labor Glory and heroism of the Chuvash ASSR, for contribution to the development of Chuvash art.
