Biography and information
The historical and portrait painter. He studied in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Paris Academy of fine Arts. In 1846 the Academy of Arts awarded the title of class artist. In 1850 he opened the art-picturesque school in Kiev; in 1853-an establishment for printing and engraving patterns. (Kondakov)
