Was born in Moscow. In 1966 he Graduated from Barnaul chemical engineering College.

Professional skill improved in Houses of creativity of the Union of artists of the USSR. Worked in the Studio of V. F. Rublev.

T. V. Ashkenazi works in the genres of portrait, landscape, book graphics; techniques - charcoal, pencil, ink. Theme of his works - the life of his contemporaries. The author of the series "Light Garashchuk" (179-89), "Painting on stone" (1981-91), "Blok", "Idyll" (1992), "Journey" (2002-04). Only in the Altai publishing house T. Ashkenazi were issued more than 20 books: K. Chukovsky "Moidodyr", V. Nechunaev "grandma's ball", a collection of fairy tales "the Magic clock", S. Marshak "Miracles in sieve", A. Misyurev "legends of Mountain Kolyvan" and others.

A lot of successful works in easel graphics: the series "the Village of my childhood" (1977), "Rural days" (1987-88). For the series "My contemporaries" (1975-76) T. V. Ashkenazi was awarded the prize and diploma of the Komsomol and the Union of artists of the USSR.

The work of T. V. Ashkenazi are stored in the funds of the Union of artists of Russia, museums of Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities.

Since 1971 - participant of regional, zonal, Republican, all-Union and more than 20 international and foreign (Germany, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, etc.) exhibitions.
