Adelbert (Adelbert)Swede and Fyodor (Theodor Konstantin) the Swede - his cousins, also artists.

Cousin M. I. Zeidler, colleague L. S. In 1840, as an art teacher, accompanied the A. I. Arnoldi and his family to the Caucasus. In the summer of 1841 (until August) sh. lived in Pyatigorsk, met with Decembrist N. I. Loranom, K-rogo wrote 2 of the portrait; perhaps he was familiar with L. By order of A. A. Stolypin (Mongo) wrote l. on his deathbed (oil; the Museum of the Pushkin house), and also to A. I. Arnoldi, who gave this work to his sister, kN. S. I. Ukhtomsky (location of original unknown.; reproduced: "Art. leaf" VF Timm, 1862, No. 7). A copy of the portrait that belonged to A. A. Stolypin, in 1882, was transferred to Learmonth. the Museum at Nikolaevsk Uch-school (1917 — at the Museum of the Pushkin house). There is a pencil sketch with dead sh. L [belonged to Zeidler; the Pushkin Museum; reproduced: Pakhomov (2), p. 151]. Perhaps this was the first sketch of sh used in his painting work. (E. V. Freidel, "Lermontov's encyclopedia").
