The shield panels of the Archangel Michael

The Archangel Michael in Scripture is called “Prince”, “Prince of the host of the Lord” and is depicted as the main fighter against the devil and all iniquity among the people. Hence its ecclesiastical name “Archangel”, ie a senior warrior, leader. So, the Archangel Michael appeared to Joshua as an assistant, the conquest by the Israelites the Promised land. He appeared to the prophet Daniel in the days of the fall of Babylon and the beginning of the creation of the Messianic Kingdom. Daniel had foretold of the people of God from the Archangel Michael during the upcoming persecution of the Antichrist. In the book of Revelation, the Archangel Michael serves as the main leader in the war against the dragon-the devil and other rebellious angels. “And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought against them, but could not resist, and no place was found for them in Heaven. And he was the great dragon, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan.” The Apostle Jude briefly mentions the Archangel Michael, as an enemy of the devil.
