Vasily
Alexandrovich Bubnov

Russia • born in 1942

Muralist. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

He graduated MVHPU (b. Stroganov), Department of monumental-decorative painting (teacher V. F. Bardachenko) in 1967

He then worked at the Combine of monumental and decorative art of the Art Fund, was performed by mosaic, stained glass, chandeliers, compositions of metal in architecture. In parallel he was engaged in easel painting and graphics, which completely shifted in the late 1980s.

Member of USSR Union of artists (USDA) since the 1970s. Participated in over 300 art shows since 1968, including 12 solo.

The Exhibitor of the exhibitions of enamel in Hungary (1977), Soviet art in Bulgaria (1978, 1981), Poland (1982, 1983)

Muralist. The Chairman of the Board of the section of artists monumentally-decorative art of the Moscow Union of artists.

Honored artist of Russia. Valid member of the Russian Academy of arts.

Awarded the medal of the order "For merits before Fatherland" II degree and Silver medal of ARTS.

Works are in museums of Moscow and other Russian cities, as well as in museums and private collections in USA, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain etc.

Major monumental and decorative works in architecture:

Relief and chandeliers in the interior of the restaurant "Sunny" - Moscow region; 1974 (co-authored with Mr. Smolyakov);

"Spring in town". Mosaic in café "may" - Moscow, 1975;

Chandeliers and sconces to the metro station "Pushkin" - Moscow, 1975;

Chandeliers and sconces in the interior of the House of veterans of cinema in Moscow, 1976 (in co-authorship with V. Shaposhnikova);

Lantern main entrance of the Soviet Embassy in Mauritania - Nouakchott, 1978;

Ceramic reliefs and mosaics in the dining room of the sanatorium Issyk Kul - Kyrgyzstan, 1979;

The relief of wood in the reception hall of the building of the General Consulate of the USSR in Sweden - Gothenburg 1980 (co-authored with V. Shaposhnikova);

Elements of architectural decoration of metal in the interior of the House of receptions of the youth camp of the Komsomol - Moscow region., 1980 (co-authored with V. Shaposhnikova);

Decorative metal sculpture on the facade and in the lobby of the Odessa state musical Comedy theatre - 1980-1981 (co-authored with V. Shaposhnikova)
