People's artist of the USSR. Vladimir Alexandrovich was born in 1921 in Bashkiria. In 1940 he graduated from the theatrical arts College in Ufa. The participant of the great Patriotic war. In 1950 he graduated from Moscow state art Institute named after V. I. Surikov (Studio of G. G. Ryazhsky). 1951 – 1968 – the creative work in the Sverdlovsk branch of Union of artists of the USSR. In 1961, V. A. Igoshev awarded the title of honored artist of the RSFSR. In 1982 the artist was awarded the State prize of the RSFSR behalf I. E. Repin. Since 1991, Vladimir – people's artist of the USSR. Member of USSR Union of artists since 1944. Personal exhibitions: Moscow, Leningrad (Russian Museum), Star city, Ufa, Tyumen, Perm, Kostroma, Gorky, Sverdlovsk,Chernivtsi, Tobolsk, Perm, Zlatoust, Ufa, Khanty-Mansiysk, Tokyo, Budapest, Prague, Bratislava, the Hague. More than 250 works of V. Igoshev are in major museums and galleries in the former USSR, nine of them – the State Tretyakov gallery, eleven – in the State Russian Museum. In 2001 in Khanty-Mansiysk opened the House-Museum of V. A. Igoshev. V. A. Igoshev's works are kept in museums and private collections in Austria, great Britain, Argentina, Belgium, Hungary, Germany and other countries.
