Dosmagambetov Tulegen received professional education at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. Repin after the Alma-ATA art school. Laureate of the State prize of Kazakhstan, Honored worker of arts of Kazakhstan. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

His name is widely known not only in Kazakhstan but also beyond. A distinctive feature of his talent manifested in all his works - extraordinary monumentality imaginative vision, which gives his work a more content and plastic limit concentration. The artist works in almost all genres and types of sculpture. For more than thirty years of creative life sculptor created a number of monuments and sculptural portraits of prominent figures of past and present.

The main works. Monuments To Chokan Valikhanov (Kokshetau, Almaty), Alibi Dzhangildin, Gani Muratbaev, Mukhtar Auezov (Almaty). Sculptural portraits of "Oriental head" (1968), "Portrait of Olzhas Suleimenov," "Portrait of Bibigul Tulegenova", "Plans of the Republic" (portrait of Dinmukhamed Kunaev), "Portrait of a poet" (1979), "Portrait of B. A. Beremzhanov" (1981), "Portrait of Professor S. A. Volmir" (1981).
