Matveyevich Manizer

Genrikh Matveyevich Manizer was born in the Baltic States, and the first art education at the Moscow school of painting and sculpture. In twenty-five years Manizer moved to Petersburg and continued his studies at the Academy of fine arts (1872-1877). In 1875 academics Manizer is a small gold medal for the program "explains Joseph in prison dreams of the Butler and the Baker". In 1878 the Academy graduate is awarded the title of class artist of the first degree for the painting "the Marriage in Cana of Galilee".

G. M. Manizer was the artist a wide range. He was able to work on biblical themes, portraits, household composition and battle scenes.

G. M. Manizer was the artist a wide range. He was able to work on biblical themes, portraits, household composition and battle scenes (the painting "the Entry of Gurko in Kazanlak" in 1887 was bought by Emperor Alexander III). Was G. M. Manizer is also a great draftsman, he worked in engraver and wrote articles skilled in the art. His skill was highly prized by connoisseurs and art lovers.
