Ivanovich Krylov

I. I. Krylov was born in 1860 in the family of don Cossack in the village Elizavetinsky. In 1887 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of arts, received for the years of study 4 silver medals. After graduating from the Academy of I. I. Krylov lives in St. Petersburg, the item Siversky, in Moscow. This period of the artist was very fruitful. It was at this time I. I. Krylov emerged as an experienced master of the landscape. Works written in this period was the "Northern loop". Among them is dominated by winter motifs.

In 1892 I. I. Krylov for the first time with fellow artists travels through the Caucasus and the Crimea. Subsequently, he repeatedly came here. The artist-lover, being in the Caucasus, fell in love with this region and transferred to his canvases the beauty of towering mountains, deep gorges, home of the highlanders. In the early twentieth century I. I. Krylov returned to the don. In Novocherkassk from the market in credit becomes the house of the Sexton of Trinity Church Alexander Ivanovich.

1900-ies the artist with his family: wife Elizabeth Ivanovna Krylova (Burghardt) and daughter Elizabeth Ivanovna lives in Novocherkassk. In these years, the estate was built workshop.

House and artist's Studio was a center of cultural life of Novocherkassk. Poltcm at various times visited by many prominent deyateljnosti and sovetskoi culture. Among them, writers A. I. Kuprin, A. Living in Novocherkassk, I. I. Krylov is not confined within hudojestvennogo creativity, a lot of effort and time he gave to public work. Miz first don some artists organized their exhibition on the South of Russia. They were written about 20,000 square meters of scenery for theatres of Rostov, Nakhichevan, Tikhoretsk, Mineral waters, Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk and other cities.

In 1913 he opens the anniversary exhibition in St. Petersburg. It was presented more than 300 works, including overseas, made during trips to France and Italy in 1910-1911

I. I. Krylov has done much for the dissemination of artistic knowledge in Novocherkassk. In 1902 he opened his Studio art offices, more than 20 years worked in the Polytechnic Institute, first as a teacher of drawing and sketching, and then head of the Department of graphics.
