Master of still life, landscape, genre paintings, author of numerous portraits. Born in the village of Velikovata Poltava region. In 1933 – 1938 he studied at the Dnepropetrovsk art College. In 1957 he graduated from the KHI (Studio of K. Yeleva, O. Shovkunenko). A member of the artists Union since 1947. Honored artist of the USSR since 1972.
