In 1936-1939, a student of Ivanovo art school (teachers I.N. Nefedov, M. R. Pirin).

Getting seriously injured on the fronts of the great Patriotic war, was demobilized and in 1943 entered Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named. I.E. Repin, who graduated in 1950 on the workshop B.V. Ioganson.

On the formation of V.A. Fedorova as a master of landscape mainly affected by the frequent visits of the famous Academic cottage, located in a picturesque place in the Tver region.

Personal exhibitions took place in Moscow (the Central house of artists), St. Petersburg (Moika, 12), Ivanovo, Tarusa, Kaluga, Kostroma, ples, Vologda.

The works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum.
