Yakimovich Kozyk

Russia • 1879−1947

Born in the village of Semenivka, now Chernihiv oblast. Studied at the Khu, G. Dyachenko and N. Pimonenko (1904 – 1909), the Moscow school of painting at the K. Korovin (1909 – 1913). 1915 and 1925 he taught at KRS, in 1925 – 1932 – KHI (1925 – Professor), 1932 – 1941 – in HHI. From 1926 member of AHCU. He painted portraits, landscapes, scenes of folk life. Paintings are in the collections of the namu, the Kharkiv HMM and many others.
