Born in the village of Maksimovo Polotsk district, Vitebsk province. Grew up in a small Belarusian town of Bykhau.

In Leningrad came in 1926, Painting and drawing began to study art in the Studio AHRR A. R. Eberlinga. Made a number of creative travel around the country (Pskov, Staraya Ladoga, Tallinn, Galich, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir, Torzhok, Transcarpathia, Crimea, Lithuania). Visited France (1972) and Italy (1975). He died in 1992
