Of ZUCCARO (Zuccari) (More) Federico (approx. 1540/43-1609) was an Italian painter and art theorist, younger brother of Taddeo Zuccaro. He worked in the Vatican and in Spain, often took part in the orders brother. In 1593 in a private Palazzo in Rome he founded the art Academy of St. Luke and the last years entirely dedicated to art theory (especially the theory of drawing as the basis of all art).
