Born into a Navy family. The first higher education in Moscow art school of memory of 1905, where he studied in the Studio of N. P.Krymov.
In 1938-1948 he studied at the Moscow art Institute (now the Moscow State Art Institute.In.And. Surikov) in the workshop of Sergei Gerasimov. It is noteworthy that for the thesis, the artist has chosen a peculiar subject – "the art Lesson in the Studio Grabar" that has separated him from the rest of the students. In the preparation process of painting academician I. E. Grabar personally posed for the young author.
In 1948 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.
A landscape painter, portraitist. Long time worked in the Plant pictorial art, where he created a large genre paintings on historical-revolutionary theme, among them represented at the auction the work, "Lenin among the peasants" (1970).
Works are kept in the regional art museums of the former USSR.
