Mikhail Ivanovich Kudyukin was born on October 14, 1921 in a peasant family in the village of Novlyanka, Tuchkovskaya volost Sudogodsky uyezd, Vladimir province (now Selivanovsky district of the Vladimir region). From the village came out about ten professional and amateur artists of the 1920s-1930s.
In 1938 he entered the Palekh Art School. In 1938, he entered the Palekh Art School named after M. Gorky, trained as a master of Palekh miniature. Training was interrupted by conscription to the Red Army in May 1941, a member of the Great Patriotic War, was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the medal "For Bravery". In 1946, was restored in the Palekh Art College, which he graduated with honors in 1948.
In 1948-1951, he studied at the pedagogical department (as a university) of the Moscow Art and Industry College named after M.I. Kalinin. After graduation, he was assigned to the Zagorsk Toy Technical School, where in 1953 he created an art department. He worked at this educational institution, changing names, until his death on May 8, 2005.
He is the author of numerous paintings and drawings in the genres of landscape, architectural landscape, still life and portrait.
Mikhail Ivanovich's eldest son Nikolai (1946-1975) was also an artist.
