Hamburg Kunsthalle invites you to visit the exhibition "Goodbye and Hello. Johan Christian Dahl and Karl Blechen.".
The exhibition introduces the works of the Norwegian landscape painter Juhan Dahl and his German contemporary Karl Blechen.
Key works in the exhibition are the landscapes Elbe in Evening Light (1837) and The Chalk Cliffs at Rügen (1824). In addition to the main works of the presentation, five Dahl paintings and three Blechen works from the Kunsthalle collection will be shown, along with information about the history of acquisition, provenance, and information about provenance.
