Museum and Exhibition Complex "New Jerusalem" holds an exhibition
"The French taste of the Yusupov princes."It is the largest private collection of the 18th and the first third of the 19th centuries belonging to Prince Nikolai Borisovich Yusupov and his descendants.
The exhibition includes works by the Arkhangelskoye Estate Museum, which for the first time so generously displays a unique collection outside its walls. It includes artists whose works cannot be boasted even by major art museums in Russia, among the authors of the paintings are Jean Tassel and Armand Charles Caraff. The exhibition features works by leading masters of the French school from the collection of Arkhangelsky - François Boucher, Hubert Robert, Claude Joseph Vernet, Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun, Marguerite Gerard and many others.
Visitors will also see a number of paintings, which have not previously participated in any exhibition and have undergone scientific restoration. Familiar to viewers and unknown paintings of the historic collection through the exhibition "met" in the halls of the New Jerusalem Museum. The exhibition offers a new perspective on large-format canvases, which are not always easy to view from a short distance in the historical exposition of the Arkhangelskoye Palace.
