Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art holds an exhibition
"Olga Osipova. Tea with Flamingos".
The exhibition introduces viewers to the surrealistic paintings of Olga Osipova, whose paintings invite you into the realm of absurdity, where an English tea party is not without a Russian samovar.
Olga Osipova's paintings are inspired by the works of Lewis Carroll and are therefore close and understandable even to an untrained viewer. Referring to the adventures of Alice, familiar to everyone from childhood, the artist "collects" his heroine of the dozens of already created images. Therefore, in the works of the author the viewer will find the attributes of Carroll's world, which is so much to the taste of pop culture: the clock, the hand of which is frozen near the number five, the flamingos, giant chess, decks of cards and towers of tea cups. But Osipova's works are not illustrations for "Alice in Wonderland. Here, in the best traditions of nonsense, everything is mixed with everything: references to the works of great masters from
Leonardo da Vinci to
Alphonse Mucha are adjacent to philosophical and literary allusions.
