Fedor Belousov was born on the eighth of February 1885 in Saratov. In 1897 he enrolled at the Bogolyubov drawing school. His teachers were Vasily Konovalov and Petro Fights. After finishing school in 1903, he has continued his studies at the St. Petersburg drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of Artists. In 1903-1904, at the same time in the society, he worked in the Studio of Osip Braz. But years of training did not end there. In 1904, the painter entered the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture where he studied for ten years by choosing their specialty landscape.

After several years in Moscow as a decorator, Belousov after the first world war, he returned to Saratov already a Mature master. Since that time, the life and work of Fedor was inextricably linked with the Saratov and Saratov art school.

Past the long road to independent creative activities, which began active, interesting to work in the early 1920's, before the artist passed away in 1939, at the height of his powers, talent and great opportunities. The best of what he had created – the images of the Volga nature, the subtle, lyrical and heartfelt. Nature and the city he loved selflessly.
