Studied: 1927-1931 at the Higher art school "Pallas" under the leadership of Professor N. Trika, Tallinn, 1943-1945 at the Department of graphics of MOSSES to them. V. I. Surikov, P. Pavlinov. Lived in Tallinn until 1942 and from 1945, 1942 in Yaroslavl, 1943-1945 in Moscow . In 1941 evacuated to the Tatar ASSR, and then in Yaroslavl. Participant of exhibitions, including "Jureva night" dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the liberation of Tallinn, the Republican 1947, 1951, 1952, etc., all-Union: "the Great Patriotic war" 1942, 1944, 1946.A member of the artists Union of the USSR.

Born in 1908 in area Vyru, has died in 1974 in Tallinn. He received his artistic education from 1927 to 1931 in "Pallas" in the workshop of N. Trika (for painting) and from 1943 to 1945 at the Moscow art Institute under the leadership of P. Pavlinov. (on the chart). From 1933 to 1940 he worked in Tartu as the free artist. After the war he worked in various editions, and in 1956 again the free artist. E. Call one of the renowned Estonian artists books. Was also a colour engraving on wood, later preferred free graphics, especially the views of the city.
