Serf of the landowner Musina-Pushkina, who received the sale in 1848. An auditor student at the Academy of fine arts. In 1850 he received the title of class artist of historical and portrait painting, and in 1855 — recognized as "designated" for the portrait from life "of a merchant Simonson," in 1857 received the title of academician for the portrait of comrade of Minister of internal Affairs Levshin. The portrait was considered a work by an unknown artist, signed Malyarenko discovered during the restoration of paintings in the Russian Museum in 1969.
