He headed the workshop of the father of Santina Petrovich, Campioni after his death.

Born in Moscow, studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts of the sculptor P. K. Klodt and in 1850 received the title of artist. He worked on the decoration of the Palace buildings: engaged in finishing the Grand Kremlin Palace, where created the interior of St. George hall, with its twisted columns, ornate cornices and marble walls of white stone carved trim of the facade in "pseudo-Russian style" and bas-reliefs in the form of double eagles (1850-51гг); was engaged in the decoration of the facades of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior fulfilled whitestone shells for the main drum).
