Alikovich Rakhimbayev

Uzbekistan • 1927−1979

Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Honored cultural worker of the Uzbek SSR.

Born in 1927 in Samarkand. He graduated from the Samarkand art school (1949). His teacher was p. P. Benkov, and then the art faculty of the all-Union state Institute of cinematography (1955). This year he worked as the art Director at the Studio "Uzbekfilm".

Participated in the creation of over twenty feature films: "the Flaming years", "Bird-nevelichka", "You're not an orphan", "the Star of Ulugbek", "Storm over Asia", "Apples 41-year", "the Bitter berry", "the Chronicle of fierce days" (a joint production of the film Studio "Uzbekfilm" with the Yugoslav film Studio, "Sutjeska film") and others.

Rakhimbayev, Nariman, was a costume designer in films: "Enchanted you", "Silence will not" ("Tajikfilm"), "Five of the Fergana", "Tashkent — city of bread", the "extraordinary Commissioner".
Member of the Union of artists of the USSR, participated in international, all-Union, Republican exhibitions. Awarded the Honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Uzbek SSR.

He was buried in Tashkent.
