In 1952 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture im. I. Y. Repin (teachers from the profession of K. Rudakov, V. Konashevich, M. Avilov).

Working in different types, genres and techniques of painting and drawing. A significant part of the creative achievements take portraits.

Works: easel paintings - "Abandoned" (1961), "live Stinol" (1965), "Dobrovoljno. /language/" (1977); a series of portraits of cultural figures and art workers, and in.; landscape series "the Roads of Poland" (1970-1972); illustrations to the works of E. Voynich "the gadfly" (1967), R. Giovanelli "Spartak" (1966), A. Herzen "Who is to blame" (1958), V. Korolenko "Children pizatella" (1964).

The National Academy of fine arts and architecture lays on the chair of drawing since 1952, 1971-1977рр. he was the head of this Department, since 1982 - Professor.
