Painter. Being a Scion of an old noble family, from the age of fifteen was educated at the Alexander cadet corps in St. Petersburg. During his studies, debuted in Newspapers and magazines of the capital as an artist and cartoonist. To obtain permission from the military authorities, he was on holiday at the front as a soldier-a volunteer, recording the album sketches from the front.

Upon returning to St. Petersburg he took lessons from the artist to the corridor. After the revolution, which destroyed the military schools of the old regime in the capital, re-training in the cadet corps in Kiev. After the capture of Kiev by the Bolsheviks fled to the Carpathian mountains, and from there to Czechoslovakia, where he enrolled at the Prague Polytechnic Institute, and then at the School of Decorative Arts. After School, went to Paris, where he remained until 1930.

Not being a member of any artistic Association, without seeking to establish useful Dating, staying out of society and avoiding the pleasures of youth, not recognizing the work in nature and not being – with the support of relatives – financially constrained, Languages, entire days spent in my workshop. Even relatives have not seen his work: taking anyone, the artist turned the painting to face the wall. Only death at the age of 31 after a brief illness revealed to the world (through the Agency of Sergei Diaghilev) this amazing talent, which was characteristic of "a complete lack of theory, healthy instinct, the tendency to well found arabesco and refined elegance" (Louis Voxel).
