Born 6 may 1920 in Rostov-on-don.

In 1952, Boris Lavrenko graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in Repin Rudolf Frentz workshop.

Studied with Mikhail Avilov, Ivan Stepashkin, Piotr Belousov, Boris Ioganson.

Participant of exhibitions since 1936.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1953.

He painted portraits, genre and thematic paintings, landscapes, still lifes.

PhD (1983). Professor of the Repin Institute of arts in the name of I. E. Repina (1985).

Honored artist of the RSFSR (1976). People's artist of the RSFSR (1994).

Laureate of silver medal named after M. Grekov, Ministry of Culture of the USSR artists ' Union of USSR (1980).

Personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1972, 1986), Moscow (1972), Rostov-on-don (1972), Petersburg (1996).
