Matveyevich Lomykin

Born in Glukhov, Sumy region. In 1951 he graduated from the OXY (studied with L. Muchnik, N. Shelyuto, N. Pavlyuk).Member of the Odessa organization of the Union of artists of USSR since 1953. The honored worker of arts of the USSR (1971). Author thematic paintings, works of genre and landscapes. Lived and worked in Odessa.

Painter and graphic artist, a brilliant representative of the South Ukrainian impressionism. He graduated from the Odessa HU (1951), where he studied with L. Muchnik, N. Pavlyuk, N. Shelyuto. Party-Union (since 1951), foreign (1964) exhibitions. Solo exhibitions: Odessa (1953, 1974), Kharkov (1954), Kiev (1956, 1957). People's artist of Ukraine (1984). For a long time was Chairman of the Odessa branch of the CFS.
