An auditor student at the Academy of arts from 1830 To 1850 was awarded the title of class artist for the painting; in 1865 the title of class artist of 3 degrees; in 1867 was recognized as an academician of mosaic art. In 1861 he was appointed senior artist mosaic. In 1877 the title of honorary member. In 1885 he was dismissed from service due to illness.
