Born in the village Fix the Gorky region. In 1973-1978, he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - A. V. Borunov. In 1978-1989 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. Themes of works: folklore, literature. Participant of exhibitions since 1996. The work of T. Y. Kovaleva stored in the Nizhny Novgorod state art Museum.
