Kügelchen

In Petersburg he came together with his brother Gerard in 1798; its a good figure, a pretty refreshing and, most importantly, the ability to choose where to write, drew it to the attention of several persons of high society and Kugelchen was made court painter. The Emperor Alexander I loved his work and then treated to a young artist. Kugelgen several times was sent to different places of the Russian Empire for srisovyvaniya types: twice made the journey to the Crimea and brought back from these trips more than four hundred works; he then visited with the same purpose Finland. Some of the types of Kugelchen issued in the lithographs. Died Kugelgen in revel, working on four ordered him to St. Petersburg by the exchange of paintings, of which he managed to write only one. Kugelgen, despite the fact that pretty much worked and lived in Russia for thirty-five years, had no influence on Russian landscape painting.
