Born in the city of Samara. In 1921 and in 1927 he studied at the Higher art school "Pallas" in Tartu (Estonia) ADO vabbe. In July 1941 evacuated from Tartu, in September 1941, arrived in Irkutsk. 1942 - a member of IOSH of the RSFSR , 1950 - member of the artists Union of the USSR.
