A graduate of the Academy of arts from 1788 to 1803, he Received medals: in 1799 – 2 silver; in 1801 – 1 silver; in 1802 – 2 gold for print: "Lucretia". In 1803 he received the diploma of 1 degree with a sword and left at the Academy; in 1805, 1 gold medal for engraving "the Crucifixion" with paintings by Lebrun. In 1806, appointed to send abroad pensioner; in 1808 he refused from trips abroad; in 1809, the title of academician. Was an engraver at the Moscow Armoury chamber. Engraver cutter. Rovinsky mentions over 200 prints of his work.
