Was born in Moscow. 1939-1942 — he studied at the Moscow secondary art school. In 1943-1950, he studied at the Moscow state art Institute named after V. I. Surikov in the Studio of N. M.Chernyshova. Honored artist of Russia. Since 1953, works in book and easel in the publishing houses "Children's literature", "Soviet artist", "Soviet Russia", "Russian book", "Truth", "fiction", "EKSMO-Press" and others.
