Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Member of the Union of cinematographers of the USSR. Honored art worker of the RSFSR (1969). Honored artist of Russia (1995). Wife of people's artist of Russia, art Director I. Kaplan (1924 – 1997). The mother of Marc Kaplan, also an artist movie.
Biography B. is inextricably linked to Manevich, I. Kaplan, hence the name of the family tandem "Kaplan-manevitch". Both graduated from the art faculty of VGIK (I. Spinel, F. Bogorodsky), both worked as art Directors at Lenfilm. The results of their collaboration – the popularly favorite paintings, including "Rumyantsev Case" (1955), "the old Man Hottabych" (1956), "my Dear man" (1958), "the Overcoat" (1959), "the lady with the dog" (1960, diploma In "fine decision" of the British Academy, 1961), "Three fat men" (1966), etc. Collaborated with the Comedy Theatre. Akimov and other theatres.
Were parties to numerous collective exhibitions, including the exhibition "60 years of cinema" (Museum of modern art, Paris, 1955), all-Union exhibitions of artists of theatre, film and television (CEH "Manege", Moscow, 1967, 1987), shows "N. In. Gogol
in the works of artists of cinema. Sketches and dolls" (Library of cinematic art named
S. M. Eisenstein, Moscow, 2009, posthumously). Among works performed in B. Kaplan-manevitch independently or in collaboration with other artists – "White sun of the desert" (with V. Costrini, 1969), "the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson" (1981, 1983), "Winter cherry" (1985, 1995, and the last joint with N. Kochergina), "Royal hunt" (1990, a prize named after E. Aeneas "For the best work of the artist"), "calendula Flowers" (1998, jointly with V. Yurkevych, the award is named after E. Aeneas, the eponymous nomination of the award "Nika").
In 1991 – 1993 B. Kaplan-manevitch taught at the art and the faculty of the Russian Academy of theatrical art.
Personal exhibitions of the artist, where you could see her "painting that came from cinotti", was held in the Losh and the Leningrad House of cinema (1987, 1994, 1997).
