People's artist of the RSFSR (1988), corresponding member of the Russian Academy of arts (1995), member of the Russian Academy of arts (2007). The diploma of arts of the USSR (1986) for illustrations to the novel of N. In. Gogol's "The Overcoat" (1984-1985). Silver medal of the Russian Academy of arts (2000) for a series of graphic works about A. S. Anatoly Ivanovich Zykov was born in Sverdlovsk. Lived and worked in Moscow. In 1949 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk art College. In 1955 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin. Studied at M. A. Taranova, L. Ovsyannikov, p. P. Belousov. In 1979 married the artist Clara Kalinychevoy.
Thesis in the CVC - illustrations to Pushkin's poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila", the evaluation - excellent. The training took place in the graphical Department. Qualified graphic artist.
Among the major works: illustrations to the "Volokolamsk highway" by A. Bek (1957), the trilogy "Childhood", "people", "My universities" (1973) and "Mother" (1968) Maxim Gorky, "the Destiny of man" by M. A. Sholokhov (1966), a trilogy by L. N. Tolstoy's "Childhood", "Adolescence", "Youth" (1977-1981); the graphical series "Mother" (1967), "On the Volga" (1966), "the French" (1966), a series of graphic sheets "Through the storms of fate. Pushkin" (1987-1995), "based On the lyrics of Pushkin" (1988-1990). Almost all his life worked at the Pushkin topic.
The participant of many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Personal exhibitions took place in Moscow, Perm, Sverdlovsk, Large Fatimah Moscow region, Tobolsk, Ryazan, Ulyanovsk, Novaya Usman', Voronezh region, Kurgan, Lipetsk, in the village of Mikhailovskoye Pskov region.
