Konstantin
Benkovich

Born in 1981. in Saint Petersburg. He uses steel armature as a sculptural material (steel rods, by the way, are a powerful symbol of aggression, and the armature goes back to the Latin word arma ‘weapons’). He welds steel into these multi-layered structures in an attempt to distort the habitual frame of understanding this symbol of uniformity. Lives and works in Saint Petersburg.
