As part of the XII Moscow International Biennale "Fashion and Style in Photography-2021" MAMM presents an exhibition
"Soviet Cinema Posters. 1950s-1980s. A gift of the Karisalov family to the Multimedia Art Museum".
The exhibition features more than 100 original film posters of cult Soviet films: "Girls", "Beware of Cars", "Service Novel", "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath", "Love and Pigeons", "Mimino", "Station for Two", "Assa" and many others.
Irina Ivanovna Karisalova, a remarkable collector from St. Petersburg who was interested in art in all its diversity: painting, sculpture, decorative and applied art... A large part of her multifaceted collection was given by the Karisalov family to major Russian museums. Mikhail Karisalov continued the collection of Soviet movie posters. Today the Karisalovs donate the collection to the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the fall of 2021.
