The Art Gallery of New South Wales presents an exhibition "The Way of the Food.".
The exhibit is based on the Gallery's extensive collection and exhibits from private collections, and includes both centuries-old treasures and works of contemporary art.
The exhibition brings together works of art related to food, this ancient source of inspiration, pleasure, and anxiety. It illustrates what we eat; how food is produced, stored, and consumed; the evolution of culinary products; cultural exchange; and the ritual and symbolic meanings associated with food.
