New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) presents an exhibition
"Solidarity. Works of ethnic Ukrainians".
In the exhibition you can see the works of more than two dozen authors of the last century, born in Ukraine. The exhibition is organized as a sign of respect and solidarity with the people of Ukraine suffering from the war of aggression on the part of the Russian state.
Some artists spent their formative years in Kiev, while others went on to Moscow, Berlin or Paris, joining the most daring avant-garde movements of their time. A number of authors, many of them of Jewish origin, took refuge from persecution in New York. The works on view, executed in a variety of techniques, reflect a wide range of themes and approaches: from abstraction to representation, from the everyday to the mystical.
